Last year's shortfall shrank by almost a million dollars in a month, this year's entire bus budget was spoken for by October 1, and the builders drew $14.3 million in a single month on the high schools. Five meetings between June 9 and August 26, and every recorded vote was unanimous. The items worth a parent's attention: a redistricting study, a $2.1 million roof estimate for the administration building, FEMA money that is not coming, and new kindergarten classrooms at Norwood and Hoxsie.
